Hygienic Art Show 30th Celebration This Saturday!

That's right, party people! A gathering of art in all mediums for all people. This is the Hygienic Art Gallery's 30th year of putting on this annual art show for the people. The show is this Saturday, January 31, 2009. And I have to say that this is the first year I have the privilege to be involved. Only one piece per artist. So, yes, I am submitting an 11x14 black and white print that I printed myself in a darkroom (yes, some of us purists still exist!). On fiber paper. 1600 speed film. Super grain and super wide angle lens. Ooooh, yeeeaaaahh. It's kind of a freaky picture, but that sort of thing is what the Hygienic is all about. Check it out:

An art co-op and gallery, the Hygienic has been an integral part of supporting the artist community in Southeastern, CT for decades. Their annual, uncensored art show attracts all kinds, and they pretty much shut down Bank Street and have a big block party in the name of art. Please come and support me in the show, and have a good time as the visual feast feeds your hungry eyes.

The Hygienic Art Gallery is located at 83 Bank Street, New London, CT 06320, and the phone number is 860-443-8001. You can check out their website at http://hygienic.ning.com/

Support art. Be art. Live art. Be there or be square. Rock out. Have sass. See ya on the flipside...
