Sam Tsui, musical genius...

Words cannot describe this young Yale student's talent. He and his producer, Kurt Hugo Schneider, have been friends since they were young, having grown up down the street from each other. They are the only two from their high school to be accepted to and attend the prestigious Yale University, where they major in Greek Classicism and Math, respectively. They always made music melodies and recordings because of their passion for it. Now they are a YouTube sensation, and have music careers in the making. When watching this clip here, you'll very easily see why. Check out Sam Tsui and his tribute to Michael Jackson...

In love with Still Motion...

Alright. I've come across this name, this idea, this creativity sooo much the past few days that I need to share it. The idea...Still Motion. The concept...Still Motion. The company...Still Motion. A creative enterprise born of the concept to capture the happiest moments of your life in still photographs and/or videography. Simple enough...but the extent to which these talented individuals capture, edit, and show their work is simply beyond words. That is such an infantile way to phrase it, but it must be so because where the words should escape my lips and nestle softly upon your dreams, my mouth, whose hinges are properly oiled and ready to motor, are stifled by the tears that shed from my amazed eyes. This bunch is comprised of nuclear creative energy and incites tears simply by the thought of how they see. I am failing with my words, so please, just share this joy of the video. It will be the best two minutes of your day. I promise.

Senior Portraits: Introducing Jackie

Meet the lovely Jackie, who is going into her senior year with a bang. She was a real sport and met me for our photoshoot at 7 am one summer morning. I love when my subjects aren't scared of the early morning start...I used to be for a very long time, but scared no more, am I. And I thank Jackie for her readiness and radiant beauty at the early hour. These are the photographs that we made...

What I've been up to...

Exciting news in the Carrie Roseman Photography camp...so much to show...so much to see...so much to tell. But, alas, the grand reveal is still in the works, so a little tease to ingnite your minds and incite your excitement...my fingers tingle and my lips curl just thinking about it. Here's the start of something amazing and the next huge step as I leap forward and bring you with me...

Engaged, Part 2: Shannon & Jermain

Here is the second installment of my Engagement Photographs for Shannon and Jermain. I have no words to describe how incredibly lucky I am that I was chosen as their photographer. I love this couple, and I'm failing at portraying my level of respect and admiration that I have for Shannon and Jermain as people and for their love of each other with my words, so please continue onto the photographs...I think the images reveal volumes about how these two feel about each other, how fun they are, and how much I am in love with their love. I can only hope to be so lucky one day and will strive to attain love like theirs. It's simply incredible, and NYC was the lucky backdrop for the gorgeous couple as we started out in Central Park. The Park segued into a shoot on the stairs of the NY Public Library, where Jermain used to sit and wait for Shannon to get out of work. The Meat-Packing District played host to the final part of the session, and I was so privileged to witness them as they broke into an impromptu dance, complete with twirls and dips - in the middle of 9th Avenue. Nothing short of amazing. These two are total rock stars, and I'm so excited about their wedding! Without further adieu, check out Part 2...
